Challenges and Prospects of Local Self-Governance Development

Today, the Regional Civil Forum was held in the city of Semey under the theme “State – Business – NGOs: Effective Interaction and Partnership.”

The forum was attended by Akim of Abai Region Berik Uali, Senator of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bibigul Zheksenbai, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Civil Society Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Eldar Saparov, President of the Association of Legal Entities “Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan” Banu Nurgaziyeva, as well as delegations from other regions, representatives of government bodies, political parties, and public organizations.

In his opening remarks, Akim of Abai Region Berik Uali emphasized that the forum serves as an important platform for constructive dialogue, mutual understanding, and partnership between the state, business, and civil society.

During the discussions, participants addressed issues related to improving cooperation between the state, business, and NGOs, while also focusing on current aspects of the development of civil society institutions.
