As part of the project **“Development of Civil Initiatives in Rural Areas,”** we continue to share the results of the small grants.

The Public Association “Kyzylzhar District Society of People with Disabilities” implemented a project aimed at expanding a leisure center for people with disabilities through the development of inclusive sports.

As part of the project, a schedule of regular activities was developed, including darts, billiards, shot put, and boccia, which were open to everyone interested. Training sessions and sports competitions were held at the leisure center in the village of Beskol, bringing together more than 50 representatives of the inclusive community.

Regular activities contributed to improving the participants’ physical condition, developing strength, endurance, and motor activity, as well as increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem.

To ensure the sustainability of the project, sports equipment was purchased. This allowed the leisure center in the village of Beskol to conduct inclusive sports activities on a permanent basis and contribute to reducing social isolation and discrimination against people with disabilities.
