As part of the project aimed at improving religious literacy among the population of Karaganda city, a meeting was held with students and coaches of the Municipal State Enterprise “Regional Specialized Children and Youth Olympic Reserve School of Athletics” of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Karaganda region.

The speaker was Dmitry Sergeyevich Poltarenko — Chairman of the Mediation Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in the Karaganda region, head of the branch of the NGO “Counterterrorism Committee” in the Karaganda region, moderator of the Club of Religious Associations’ Leaders in the Karaganda region, and member of the Republican Information and Awareness Group on Religious Issues under the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting addressed the dangers of social networks, as well as the risks of involvement in destructive pseudo-religious and religious movements.
