Statement of the Astana Public Council Following the President’s Address on February 7

On February 7, the President of Kazakhstan outlined the key areas for the country’s further development. Among the main issues highlighted were reforms, social policy, and ensuring fairness in the tax system.

The Public Council supports initiatives aimed at protecting the interests of citizens. Optimizing tax policy, improving the well-being of the population, and maintaining the social accessibility of essential goods and services are among our key priorities.

We, the Astana Public Council, continue to actively cooperate with government bodies and civil society institutions to ensure transparency and fairness in the ongoing reforms.

Supporting the course toward building a “Listening State,” the Public Council will continue working to address pressing issues that are important to society.
