Since 2023, I have been conducting on-site monitoring of the city’s sports schools, clubs, and facilities. Unfortunately, the same situation is repeated each time: the declared number of participants does not correspond to the actual figures.

Athletes often train in the same groups simultaneously on both a free-of-charge and paid basis, including within the per-capita funding system. This points to one conclusion: without transparent digital attendance tracking, it is impossible to establish proper oversight.

Since the beginning of this year, extensive work has been carried out jointly with the Department of Sports. When the management is genuinely interested in effective oversight, the system begins to change.

Starting next week, we will resume monitoring organizations under the Department of Sports of Almaty, ahead of the introduction of digital attendance tracking for athletes.
