In particular, the establishment of a “Simulation Training and Methodological Center for Public Training” with an area of 1,454.90 square meters is planned in the Auezov District. In 2025, the Department developed the design and cost documentation and obtained a state expert assessment. Currently, work is underway to transfer the design and cost documentation to the Department of Construction for further construction and installation works.

By the end of 2026, the Department plans to complete work on assessing landslide hazards, documenting hazardous areas, and developing a risk map in the Nauryzbay District.

“We plan to gradually survey the upper part of the city, identify landslide-prone areas, prepare documentation containing all relevant data and the level of risk for each area, and submit the information to the relevant authorities to address the identified risks,” the Head of the Department noted.

Since the beginning of this year, 168 people have been rescued, and more than 2,578 response operations have been carried out. In mountainous areas, 29 operations were conducted, during which 36 people were rescued.

The Department is also responsible for mobilization training and mobilization, territorial defense and military conscription, as well as conducting command-and-staff exercises.

The 2026 military conscription campaign began on March 1 and will end on June 30. According to the legislation, conscripts retain their jobs, and employers are required to restore their previous employment conditions after military service.

Citizens who have completed compulsory military service are provided with an opportunity to enter higher education institutions without taking into account their UNT scores or entrance examination results. Conscripts who distinguished themselves during service and demonstrated high achievements are eligible for educational grants and free education.

During military service, servicemen are also granted a deferral of monthly payments on bank loans and microcredits.
