Almaty is one of the most widely discussed cities in Kazakhstan’s information space. Against this backdrop, members of the Public Council put forward their proposals on public safety.
Key initiatives include promoting cybersecurity awareness among schoolchildren and conducting joint raids involving police officers and civil society representatives.
During a meeting with the leadership of the Police Department, members of the Public Council exchanged views and noted the prompt response and effective decisions taken by the police in connection with recent high-profile incidents in the metropolis.
“Almaty has truly become a dynamic platform for seeking new, more practical and effective approaches to safety. The involvement of Public Council members today and the focus on real changes are clear evidence of this,” emphasized Rafael Gasanov, a member of the Public Council.
