On June 25, 2026, Commission No. 5 of the Public Council of Almaty, responsible for religion, public development, culture, the state language, sports, and youth affairs, conducted another stage of public monitoring of sites that are architectural monuments and have historical and cultural value.
As part of this stage of public monitoring, three sites were inspected: the Republican Palace of Schoolchildren, the Officers’ House, and the M. Yu. Lermontov Russian State Academic Drama Theatre.
Based on the results of the monitoring, the Commission will develop relevant recommendations. Following their discussion at a Commission meeting, the recommendations will be submitted to the authorized government bodies for consideration and appropriate action.
