Meeting of the Public Council of Almaty
An important stage of the work of the Public Council of Almaty has come to an end. Council members and experts came together to review the results of the year, analyze KPI indicators, and discuss our further plans. Such meetings are essential, as they provide a platform for exchanging views and conducting an in-depth analysis of the results achieved.
I am particularly proud to highlight our most active colleagues and experts. Their engagement makes the work of the Council truly effective.
I would like to share the results of the work of Commission No. 6, which I chair. In the first half of 2026, we focused on social protection, healthcare, education, and public oversight.
What we achieved: we monitored the availability of medicines, organized round tables on tuberculosis prevention among young people, prepared proposals to improve the “Damu Bala” program and develop the Job Coach project, and systematically worked with residents’ appeals, referring them to relevant government bodies.
A number of monitoring activities, including the work of the “Invataxi” service and local self-government, have been postponed until the summer period to ensure maximum objectivity and quality of analysis.
