Members of the Public Council of Almaty, Rustam Kaiyriev and Akezhan Kenesov, together with the Department of Youth Policy, conducted a monitoring visit to Dormitory No. 1 of the Gumardbek Daukeyev Almaty University of Energy and Communications.
During the inspection, attention was paid not only to the rooms but also to the showers, restrooms, kitchens, corridors, gym, entrance area, as well as the condition of the building and the surrounding grounds.
The monitoring identified a number of shortcomings. All comments were formalized as recommendations and submitted for corrective action.
The Public Council continues to monitor the situation. Deadlines for addressing the identified issues have been set, after which a follow-up monitoring visit will be conducted to assess what changes have been made.
