Almaty city
The Interagency Monitoring Group for the Protection of Children’s Rights in Almaty, together with members of the Public Council and representatives of public organizations, is conducting large-scale monitoring ahead of the new academic year.
Eight mobile groups established in each district of the city are not merely reviewing the condition of educational institutions based on documentation, but are comprehensively assessing their actual safety, accessibility, and readiness to accommodate children.
During the inspections, particular attention is being paid to anti-terrorist security measures, the operation of video surveillance cameras without blind spots, security personnel response protocols, the condition of school premises and electrical safety, properly secured manholes, the accessibility of ramps and handrails for children with special needs, as well as the correct placement of “QR-111” information signs for obtaining assistance.
All identified issues have been documented, and responsible persons have been given clear recommendations for their prompt elimination.
This work remains under special supervision and will continue on a systematic basis.
