Today, at the initiative of the Public Council of Akmola Region, a joint meeting was held with the Public Council of Kokshetau. The main issue on the agenda was the continued review of a matter of particular importance to local residents — the current condition of the water supply and wastewater (sewerage) system in the village of Krasny Yar.

The issue of providing the suburban village with quality drinking water and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of wastewater treatment systems has been raised repeatedly at various levels. However, it still requires open public oversight and decisive action from the executive authorities.

During the meeting, members of the two Public Councils, together with invited representatives of local executive bodies, relevant departments and utility companies, discussed the following aspects in detail:

Network modernization: the current technical condition of the water supply and sewerage networks in Krasny Yar, their level of deterioration, and the need for urgent repairs.

Water supply stability: the causes of interruptions in water supply, particularly during periods of peak demand, and ways to address them.

Public Position: Oversight and Responsibility

Members of the Public Councils emphasized that access to clean water and basic sanitation is a fundamental right of residents and that infrastructure problems cannot be postponed.

“The situation in Krasny Yar requires not temporary measures, but a comprehensive and systematic approach. We will keep this issue under constant public oversight until every resident of the village has access to quality water and the sewerage system operates without interruption,” the meeting participants emphasized.
