«State Symbols: Unifying Force and Contemporary Significance»

Today, on the eve of State Symbols Day, the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan held a session of the “USTANIM” debate club. The meeting, titled “State Symbols: Unifying Force and Contemporary Meaning,” brought together Members of Parliament, representatives of government agencies, experts, and leaders of NGOs and youth organizations.
Speakers highlighted the significance of state symbols for society, emphasizing their role as a support for the nation during historical challenges, preserving national unity, and transmitting values such as independence, dignity, and loyalty to the homeland from generation to generation.
During the discussion, participants addressed ways to modernize the promotion of state symbols among youth, adapt them to contemporary educational and informational policies, and integrate them into modern cultural and digital spaces. According to the participants, re-examining state symbols does not mean abandoning tradition; rather, it deepens the connection between past and future and fosters conscious, genuine patriotism.
At the conclusion of the session, specific recommendations were developed aimed at strengthening the role of state symbols in the country’s educational, informational, and cultural policies.
