A session of the “USTANIM” discussion club was held at the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan office on the topic “NGO Registration Issues within the Framework of Legislative Improvement.” Participants raised important questions regarding legal status, registration procedures, branch openings, and the removal of barriers that limit NGO activities outside their regions. The discussion focused on the need to simplify procedures, reduce administrative burdens, and create equal conditions for all organizations.

Participants emphasized the importance of unifying and clarifying legal norms in this area to ensure transparency of procedures, reduce administrative load, and create favorable conditions for the non-profit sector.

The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Justice, the Civil Initiatives Support Center, members of the working group on drafting amendments to NGO legislation, legal experts, analysts, and representatives of the civil sector.

As a result of the meeting, proposals were developed for inclusion in the draft legislative amendments. The event was held in a hybrid format with participation from representatives across different regions of the country.
