Roundtable dedicated to the International Day of Non-Governmental Organizations

Today, a roundtable was held at the House of Friendship dedicated to the International Day of Non-Governmental Organizations. The event highlighted the importance of civic initiatives in societal development and the role of civil organizations in strengthening social responsibility.

Opening remarks were delivered by Banu Nurgazieva, President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan; Aizada Kurmanova, Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Edil Ospan, Vice Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Eset Baiken, Deputy Akim of Astana; and Zhunisov Azamat, Head of the Department for Emergency Situations. The speakers emphasized the key role of civic initiatives and the importance of supporting the non-governmental sector.

During the event, participants discussed the impact of NGOs on society, their role in promoting civic engagement, and ways to strengthen collaboration between the state and civil organizations. The meeting concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing active organizations that have made a significant contribution to societal development.
